Trice will be 16 weeks when we pick him up next month (yay!) and I want to start him on basic obedience training (sit, stay, lie down, some tricks, etc). Eventually maybe get a couple of advanced training classes down the line. I was told not to bother with the chains (Petco/Petsmart).

I was referred to the following and wondering if you have any thoughts on these and other recommendations?

Southern California Dog Obedience Council

Sirius K9 Training

Thank you for your help!

Abby starts with Dog Services on Sept. 18th at Hart Park in Orange on Thursday nights - she will be 5 months by then so she will start the Basic Training. The lady I spoke with at the main office said as long as she's been on a leash and around other dogs (which is what Puppy Kindergarten is for) then she is ok to go into the Beginners class. PLUS it's the cheapest I've seen so far...and their website seems legit. I went to Petsmart by my house and it was like $150 for 6-8 weeks!!?? Yea, no thanks.
