I'm curious to see how many dogs you have in your pack. When did you add to your pack? Do you think have opposite sex's are better as far as how they get along? We're wanting to get another puppy after Gracie is full grown. We wanted to wait until she was over a year old. I've often heard that the male PWC are a little more laid back than the females. Gracie is a very confident and bossy talk. I'm sure she will boss him around. Also, if you have a male, do they not lift their leg if they have been neutered? I've mostly had female dogs. I had one male dog that wasn't neutered that lifted his leg everywhere. Back then, we didn't know about neutering.

My pack is just Whisper. We had up to 4 at one time. We got Lucchese a week after we got Whisper and then Cowboy was out of Whisper's litter and Daggie just moved in. So then I moved everyone out except Lucchese and Whisper and we lost Lucchese in an accident. Since that time she prefers to be an only child!
I have three dogs and two cats. We got Sparty when he was 7 weeks old and he is now 10. He was a very hyper and dominant puppy but many obedience classes helped us be better with him. We got Buffy (female) when Sparty was 1 &1/2. He loved her from the start even though she was an 8 week old. When she got to about 2 she got a little aggressive with him but he never was back. She was a very mild mannered corgi and we were able to train her easier. Unfortunately she died at age 6. I was able to find another puppy, 4 month old, Izzy. Izzy is also very mild mannered and Sparty does well with her too. She is now almost 3. In January our son moved back home to go back to college and he brought a very sweet doberman named Misty with him. Unfortunately we had to work with Sparty quite a bit because he did not like her. (when she was a puppy she was bigger than him and stepped on him a lot which is why he does not like her) Now everything is working pretty well.
Males will lift their leg to go whether or not they are neutered but usually they won't mark after. If you have them neutered prior to 1 year they are less likely to mark.
You can pick a mild mannered male puppy to go with your dominent female. That would be a good combo.
