This group is for all corgis living in the DC, Maryland, or Northern Virginia area. With enough members, hopefully we can get a few meet-ups going, trade vet recommendations, and get to know other corgis in the area (and their people). :-)

Is anyone on night shift like me??
I'd love to find out if anyone in the VA area is on night shift and would like to meet up sometime. I do know that Burke Lake park has access at night, as well several other secure parks are avalible to be walked. As for dog parks I know they are not open...at least none that are state owned.
Anyways, let me know if anyone would like to meet up....
Thank You,
Sincerely,
Don and Crew
Hi,
I'm in Centreville VA, full time college student and Help Desk Job at night. I've Jazmin whom is an adorable, well mannored and untrained Corgi at the moment. I also in my sparingly little free time voulnteer with the Humane Society of Fairfax County.
Lets light the fires and kick the tires, its time VA have an offical Corgi Meet up.
Dog parks are ok, but you'll find I don't care for them..reasons as follows.
I've seen a dog almost killed at one, as was mentioned before the owner really didn't seem phased about his dog starting it.
Unknown Temperments of animals attending can be an issue.
Lack of Flea/Tick Control ( but that's not really preventable however grounds maintenance could reduce it).
So, with that being said...I've a few novel ideas that seemed to work out well before.
Dognick in the park ( I usually attend Bull Run park) - Picknick in the park, pot luck and dog friendly of course.
Wildside Camping- whats better the s'mores and a campfire, how about sharing it with your four legged best friend.
Toast the town- Alexandra is a fun place to go, no destination in mind and good exercise.
Shopping Corgi Style- Dulles Town Center is a dog friendly outdoor mall, great place to do distraction training.
Just some ideas, let me know and I'll cross post them. If they are local more then likely just Centreville one.
Anyways, let me know.
