Toledo Area Corgis

Information

Toledo Area Corgis

This is a group for all of the Toledo (and surrounding area), Ohio Corgis. While we Corgis aren't rare, we certainly aren't seen as much as a Labrador or German Shepard, so we need to stick together!

If it's just the three of us, let's go with Wildwood then. If anyone else wants to join, please let me know -- if it gets to be too much of a crowd, then I'll change it to Secor. Let me look at the Wildwood map and I'll figure out where the best place will be for us to meet.

Hi All,
I was checking in to see where we're at with the park walk this Sunday and so far it looks like Valerie & Simon, Sue & Robin, and Bryan, Nellie, and I are coming. I think Sarah was unterested too? If it is going to be a small group then Wildwood will probably work well. So Valerie, since you suggested the event, will you make the decision on where we'll go/meet? I am going to be away from my computer for a couple of days and don't want to miss the "final decision"! Thanks!

It really doesn't matter to me if we meet at Secor or Wildwood -- 6 p.m. is fine with me. I haven't been to Secor in YEARS, but if we're doing a 'group walk' thing then maybe it'd be a better choice cause Wildwood is always VERY crowded. And I do think they have areas where we can stay after and gab if we want. I'll try and go by there this week and see where the best place is to park.

I guess the choice of location really depends on what we want to do . . . . . .if we are planning on actually walking the dogs on trails, then I vote for Secor Park as the trails are wider, grass covered instead of dirt, and not so crowded. However, if we are planning on meeting, talking, hanging out, then I think Wildwood is a better choice as we could use the lawn area at the Manor House.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Sunday August 2 is good for me, I will see everyone around 6 pm. I always park on the Corey rd lot, less congested....sound good?

August 2nd will work for us, but not until about 6:00 PM. We will have house guests until 4:00. I'll keep checking to see what the agreed time turns out to be. Also, I think Secor Park might be a little less crowded and the trails are a little wider. Wildwood, although it has wonderful facilities, is very well used and could be difficult to navigate with a pack of dogs . . . . . . just a thought. Keep the info coming and hopefully we can work out the details!

How does August 2nd sound to everyone for a meetup? The other Sundays I can do as well, but not till about 7 p.m., but I'm free all afternoon on Sunday, August 2 from 2 p.m. on. Let me know if that date works for everyone, and what time is best.

Also, do you prefer Secor Park or Wildwood? Either is fine for me, but Wildwood is more central to everyone so I thought that would be a better choice. Plus they have the manor house, and walking through the garden is always a nice thing to do. Let me know if the 2nd works for everyone, and give me the best times for you that day. I was thinking about 4 p.m. or so.

Yes, that sounds good to me also, Sundays are my best day, just name the park and the time and Iwill be there with my little trouble maker Robin, maybe Nellie can put her in her place!!!!
