I've never had a dog before but one thing I've noticed about Chula is that she instinctively goes into submissive pose when she's around other dogs...how do they know to do that?? Also, as you'll see from the picture, the neighboring dog loves her! So other than that there is one other odd thing...she runs backwards, especially if we're trying to get her to put her in her crate, but again, instinctively she somehow manages not to corner herself in. Has anyone else noticed either of these traits?

Wow, Chula looks just like my Corgi "Callie"!. I can't believe it, how old is she? Callie is all most 9 months old now.

Hi Sue! You're my first response. Where do you live? Chula is 10 months old. She will be a year old on December 19th. I'm thinking about giving her rolls of toilet paper to celebrate. :) Or maybe a pair of shoes...

Hello Pauline, Callie and I live in northern Ca. in the Sierra's. Since it is pretty cold there right now we are in Az for the winter. I have signed us up for beginner Dog Agility classes to start in Dec.here. Callie will be 9mo by then. It should be fun and a way for her to run off some of her energy...) Hope Chula has a Happy Birthday!

She is very pretty I love the black tips on her ears and black on her face! I have three corgi's and have raised all from pups, and pups are submissive the older dogs are just naturally up higher in pack order so little ones stop drop and roll as if to say I am little please don't hurt me! My middle corgi is two now and she is just submissive by personality she defers to other dogs so maybe Chula is similar. My oldest boy Cosmo is three and takes no crap from any dog no matter what size! He is not aggresive but will jump to their level on his hind legs and air snap at them to back them down. So just like kids they are all different. Just let Chula know you are there for her around other dogs and don't let them bowl her over! I hate dog parks sometimes because people don't do that or back them off it's getting out of hand! I don't crate mine so I have never seen running backwards!
