I tried to come to the meetup today but I couldn't find any parking--I only had $2 on me because I assumed VB was nice and had free parking during the winter or like, a discount for residents, but I forgot the Oceanfront hates their residents. T__T So I went to Sandbridge instead, where the parking is free and there's always spaces!
I am sorry Monica. Weather made me do it! For any last minute lookers the meet-up is today at 2 at neptune park.
Robert and Ein,
Sadie and I won't be attending the Saturday Meet-Up - have some family stuff going on. Have fun and hope to see you all at the next one.
Monica and Sadie
Candice,
I took Mochi to Playful Pups & Performance Training. They have two locations, one is off London Bridge & the other is off Great Neck. I trained at the location off London Bridge. I really liked the classes, they're once a week with two date options, either Wednesday evening classes or Saturday morning classes. Deborah was great. She did group training and individual training during the class and let you know what areas to work on with your pup. Classes are typically smaller, no more than 4 or 5 dogs, so the personal one on one time is great.
They're having an open house if you're interested. Info is listed below:
We trained Sadie with a lady on Kempsville Rd. - she was just leasing the place for her classes and I can't remember her name. Our new puppy (a Llasa Apso) was trained by a lady that came to our house. She was great but not cheap, but it was worth it. Let me know if you need her name and phone #.
Candice, Tank is adorable!!!!
Maggie and I herd in Elizabeth City. There are a couple of trials coming up in February and March if you want to watch or you can go with me to a lesson sometime, if you want. He is probably too young for much of a lesson; however, you could expose him to the sheep. Herding is good for obedience. Let me know if you want more details. Jane
also, quick question. where did you guys take your dogs for training? and are there any special herding training around here? tank seems to like to herd quite a bit!
i wanna take tank! to the next meet. but I'm not sure if he will be able to....he has only had one round of parvo shots. he gets his second on the third. i will ask the vet if its ok. he needs to get knocked around a lil by bigger dogs! hahahaha he thinks he is the boss of the kitties!
I like your idea Patricia. We can aim for the beach but if the weather looks bad, we can relocate to Greenbrier Park.
