I got Waffle when he was 10 months old from a breeder who is fantastic in all aspects except for socialization. When I got him, I will admit I didn’t walk him very much. What I did instead was take…Continue

Hello! I got my Dyson delivered to my apartment because my grandmother didn't think she could move the box (she's 86) and because she just didn't want to deal with dragging it up to Tech. !!! So I…Continue

I have a sinus infection, and it's pretty bad. It knocked me right out. I dropped one of my nasty used tissues on the floor and Waffle took it and shred it up. What are the chances he can get sick…Continue

We recently lost our October to mammary cancer. She was only 9. :[ We were prepared, though, so we are sad and mourning but it was not surprising or unexpected, which makes it easier to deal with. We got a new little girl, named Jeannie (pronounced "genie") and she is so good! She's very confident and outgoing, AND SO ACTIVE, but not destructive. Very loving. She and Waffle are going to be great friends, I can tell. …

H O L Y C R A P. I am trying to teach Waffle some more tricks. When I was teaching him "Wafflecopter", he would spin once and I would say "do it again", and he would spin again. Now he spins twice! I said "do it again" when I was teaching him something else at school and he spun around and I made the connection that he thought "do it again" = "spin". I've been saying it over and over too trying to teach him to go backwards. Well I said it today…

Waffle's birthday came and went and I didn't say anything! He was 3 on June 20th. It's been SO HOT so we've had a pretty lazy summer so far. My job search continues so I have very little to occupy myself with besides exercising and entertaining my dog. (And copious amounts of video gaming.) Anyways, here are some doodles... and then some real pictures.
True story:…

I've had Waffle for 2 years today!
What would I do without him? Oh goodness. I don't even want to think about how different my life would be.
He was with me for graduation this past weekend. Oh, to think of all the milestones he'll be with me for in the future!…

Hi there,
I run The Daily Corgi (blog and facebook page) and have posted a link to your Comprehensive Corgi Guide. I thought it was clear, thoughtful and well written. To view the page, go to http://thedailycorgi.blogspot.com/p/is-corgi-right-for-you.html.
If you would rather I removed the link, please let me know.
Thanks,

Lois B. Allen said… I'm sure glad he has taken you on. Not only is he handsome but so very smart. Such a good example of corgihood.
John Wolff said… Rachael, did you know Waffle's on Cheezburger?
Rachael, I love those photos you posted. I was barely awake and I got the biggest laugh. You and Waffle are hilarious. In bread Corgi. hahaha. And the smallest horse. Too funny.
Angel, Holly, & Mere said… waffle is such a cute name!
Thanks for all the pictures. I want you to know that many yers ago I spayed a beautiful corgi. Later I learned not all Vets can do an OFA picture. I sat threw a specialist from OFA at a dog show and teared up , later crying that I had spayed this beautiful corgi I had waited 5 years to get because they had probly mis aligned her hips. Due to the fact they are so short legged Vets often position them wrong. Always get a second opinion on your dog. Find someone that is specialized in OFA or for that matter get a second opinion. There are Vets and Then there are vets.
Love your pics and the hair wash and knit it. Oh find someone with a Great Pyr they have great hair to knit or a Samy.
Kayla and Mason said… Haha well I promise to draw your Waffle when I do order one! (And i get my own computer... I have been drawing lots of corgi cards lately!) Yeah I think you picked right with Tech...JMU is definitely a PARTY school and I can't imagine that doesn't get annoying haha. I'm back at home with the rents, but if I moved out I'd definitely NOT go for apartments where JMU students live hahaha.
Kayla and Mason said… Also, hey blacksburgian! I'm in Broadway, and a few of my dear friends go to Tech :D
Kayla and Mason said… AWESOME! They are so amazing looking! And such a good idea!
