Sad day in our house, we need to find a new home for our corgi Chester. We love him tons and he does great with people, but not other dogs. He will be happier as the only dog in a home. If you know anybody looking to adopt, let us know :-(

Puppies are always fun and cute, but Merry may not appreciate a little one. Rescues are a great choice and with rise in popularity of corgis there are more without homes. No pup will ever fill the hole in her heart but may help fill the gap.

Merry and I are still missing Sammie.....but we have decided to find another corgi who might need a family and would be a new friend for Merry.  Not sure we would want a puppy, but would rehome a corgi instead....Merry is very lonesome......not to mention how I feel.....Sam was just "The Best".......

I am sorry for your loss. I am sure he had a great life in your care and was very happy. Remember to celibrate his life. Remember the fun times and the lazy days. He will be happily waiting for you at the bridge.

Just thought that it was time that I joined a Corgi group to keep up with events and etc.   Unfortunately I am some distance from Va. Beach, but may be able to take part in some of the events.   On a really sad note....I had to let Sammie go to his final resting place on Monday......He was such a part of my heart.....Feels like a big chunk of my has gone on with him.....Merry is subdued also.....Thankfully he will suffer no longer and I can remember all the wonderful days we shared...I am not ready to take his picture off the site yet.....maybe not for a long long time.

Chesapeake Humane Society's Bark in the Park went well, weather held off for most of it. Sunday the 28th is the Virginia Beach SPCA walk and inaugural Pupcake 5K Run. So get your walkin shoes and leashes out and come support the SPCAs that do so much for so little.
