Thanx for the nice message :).So funny, like Your corgis,We have one that loves the ride and one that hates it.Merlin flies into our arms to get in the 150 and Keri slowly will meander the front yard before We have to scoop her up.But once We ghetto Our first campsite, she's the outdoor lover. She always finds the tallest fallen tree or rock to survey her new territory :).Merlin is the one who loves to be on a blankly by the campfire and hang out.Unless there's a body of water around. He's Our crazy swimmer.Hope You both are having a great trip to Mich.We have to hang out at home for at least a couple of weeks to get final retirement stuff done :(.Then, watch out!!

Hi Judy and Alan,  Glad you joined us!

I guess we all have 2 corgis and love to travel.  I am from CA (my first 45 years)  We are heading to Michigan in the morning for 10 days.  It will take us 2 full days to get there. Spending the night somewhere in Ohio.  Roger managed to work his high school class reunion and a family reunion in on this trip.  Retirement is great, we were very fortunate to be able to retire early (55) and have enjoyed every minute. The boys have been watching us load up all day (at least me.....Roger had to play some golf). Chepstow hates the drive and loves the RV parks. Tenby loves the drive and prefers to stay in the RV.

Retirement is great but so far my husband doesn't want to. He is a little younger than me but I wish we could go out for more than a couple weeks at a time.

As long as Sparty is bossy and eating sounds like he is doing well. Tenby is on daily pain meds, don't know what we would do without Pill Pockets.

I forgot to tell you, everytime we came back to the RV on our last trip,Tenby was laying on the dining table looking out the window.  It is so easy for him to jump on the bench not sure how we are going to change this behavior. Of course that was better than him sitting in the kitchen sink looking out that window.  That boy has a wild and free spirit, Chepstow would never even think doing that.

Yes I am sorry that you are going to be so far south and we are north because it would be fun to meet. We will have to try to plan it ahead of time. We might go to South Haven in August? Sparty is doing Ok but his front leg has cancer and back leg a torn CL and he is on pain meds so we know what we are in for. So far he still bosses the doberman around and enjoys his meals so we are just taking it day by day.

We got some calming wafers at PetSmart. Tried them the other day when I brought the boys to the Gallery with me.  They seemed to work well without making him groggy.  Hope they work if he gets nervous while we are in Michigan.  At least this trip there aren't any fireworks close by.

Bev-wish we were going to be closer to you. Would love to meet you and the corgi's.  How is Sparty doing?

Our first day at the beach was so hot.  Not the usual ocean wind.  It got breezy the next few days. Boys had a good time, until the 4th. Tenby didn't like hearing the cracks and booms.  People were lighting them off on the beach which was away from us but he still heard them.  It has been so hot and humid here.

I can relate...we have had similar experiences. We are thoroughly enjoying being here in Petoskey. Sunny, breezy and beautiful...I do love it up north.

Typical RV event........I am getting the clothes and other packing done because we are leaving in the morning. Roger comes in THE WATER PUMP IS BROKEN. Men get so upset about mechanical things. Then he discovers a switch is in the wrong position and all is right with the world again.

Happy 4th to everyone
