Judy and Alan,
We are having a good time, the sun is wonderful. We are heading over the Ft Lauderdale for Christmas with the kids. Then we are off to Key West for New Years. Being a native Californian I do wish I could spend some time in California.
Comment by Keri&Merlin(Judy&Alan's Pups) on December 17, 2012 at 12:30pm I am envious, we just returned from Florida and I pointed out to my husband that if he retired and we moved to Florida we could RV year round. Have a great trip! Smaller spaces do make us re-evaluate how much we truly need.
Florida here we come. The boys had their baths today and we are busy packing. Don't know where we are going to put everything. Living in 240 sq feet for 8-10 weeks with Roger and the boys is going to be an adventure. We are planning a lot of outside activities. Roger even got me a new surf fishing pole. (I love fishing) We are leaving Monday morning early. Just in time....it is starting to get cold here in NC.
Christine...Welcome to the group. We had to laugh about your description of your "tri". I really think tri's must have a "goofy" gene. I have heard so many people say their tri's are just a little more wild and crazy than the red and whites. Our Tenby keeps us laughing.
Roger/Laurie: You might want to consider going to SunnyBrook Rv park in South Haven or to Oak Grove in Holland. They are both not that far from Berrien Springs and there are great beaches in the area, cute towns (Saguatuck is a great Artsy town) and nice RV parks. As far as I am concerned Northern Michigan is the best. Traverse City has really neat wineries, Mackinaw City is a great place to be if you want to visit Mackinaw Island (a personal favorite of mine) and I also love the Petoskey area. However, those areas are quite a few hours north of Berrien Springs. Let me know when you firm up your dates..maybe we can meet!
It's so nice to see other RVer's with Corgi's! Getting packed up tonight for a weekend trip to Williamsburg, VA. Remy loves the dog parks at the campgrounds and meeting all the other dogs. And let's face it....Corgi's get a lot of attention! Not to mention that fit perfectly in a camper...Happy RVing!
Bev...We are thinking about going back to Michigan for a couple weeks next August. We really liked the Berrien Springs Park, but there isn't much to do for two weeks. We are going to have to get the book out and see what is available. Any suggestions?
You should have a beautiful autumn drive. Our leaves are just starting and DC is usually 2 or 3 weeks ahead of us. Our daughter on Long Island is about a month ahead of us. Must be nice to have your son and wife closer. Our son lives in Bristol, England. Gives us a really good excuse to visit, as often as we can get dog sitters..
Thanks, we usually go out a bit in October for fall color but this year we are going to Washington DC to visit our son and daughter-in-law. They recently moved there from Prague. Not taking the rv but still should be a pretty drive in the car. Winter is always busy and by spring we are ready to start again
