I am with you Laurie! No longer interested in roughing it! We took our motor home to Holland, Michigan for the Tulip Festival. It has been very slow to warm up here this year so the tulips hadn't bloomed yet. It was cold and windy but at least very little rain. We had fun and our new puppy, Watson, really enjoyed the sandy beach! We go out again for Memorial weekend to Frankenmuth, Mich. for the Dog Bowl. It is a cute little town and there are all kinds of dog events (dock diving, agility etc) so lots of fun. It is always a little "iffy" in May here for weather.
We have been home from Florida for about 5 weeks and still feeling like we are playing catch up. Took my 2 sisters to VA last week so they could start on their cross country bicycle ride to Oregon. They will ride 4230 miles in 90-100 days, carrying everything they need on their bikes, camping most nights. That is way to rustic for me, I prefer the Hampton Inn or at least a nice RV.
So where is everybody going now that spring is here and summer is around the corner.
Hi there ! It's a real bummer when you go to Florida and it's cold but I'm sure you've had some nice warm days too. We were down there from 12/10 through 12/27 and it never got over 80 degrees but it was a far cry from the freezing temperatures we've had in Tennessee since we got home. One night I fell asleep on the couch with Wilson, watching re-runs of Little House on the Prairie, and when I woke up at 2:00 am I checked the temperature and it was three below ! Yikes !
Hope all you up north are being keep warm by your corgi's. It has been a two dog night even here in Florida. I hate the cold, so taking the golf cart to exercise class in the morning in 40 degree windy weather is terrible. I know it is a lot colder for you. Keep warm spring will come.
I know you northerners aren't taking off on any holiday RV trips. Is anyone else?
We had a great visit with Roger and Laurie and, of course, the famous Chepstow and Tenby today. Thanks guys!
Yes, we have gone to Fort Meyers many times. That would really be fun to meet up. We are going to the Villages for a few days starting on the 14th but after we get to Sarasota that would be doable. I sent you a friend request so I can message you. (can't believe I don't have you already)
Bev..I was wrong it its about 2 hours.
