Our traveling days this summer have come to a rapid halt. I am having knee replacement surgery on July 30th. I will be side lined at least 8 weeks. Now we just have to figure out how we are going to keep the boys (mostly Chepstow) from jumping on the ottman, on my knee. Roger is thinking of a box over my knee when I am sitting. Thanks goodness our house only has 3 steps in the garage, I am worried about getting into the pickup truck.
That is funny! I can relate, my Sparty was a nervous traveler and if we ran over a rumble strip (due to road work) he would shake for the rest of the trip. Fortunately Izzy and misty are calmer.
The one time we moved the trailer with the dogs inside. (200 ft to the dump station) Chepstow almost had a heart attack. He didn't stop shaking for 20 minutes. Tenby could care less. They love traveling in the truck...guess Chepstow thought the sky was falling. Needless to say we walked back to our space.
We are counting the days until our first trip out the first of May! Glad you are having so much fun!
It's been so cold in Tennessee I wish we could have spent the last month in Florida. Glad to hear you had a wonderful trip. Have fun dealing with the fur !
Back home just in time for the ice and cold. The boys are so happy to be back in their king size bed. We just loved the park in Fort Myers Beach "Indian Creek", so many things to do. The beach is a 5 minute car drive, dogs are allowed on leash. The boys loved the ocean and after the first swim learned not to drink it. They could have walked and played on the beach all day. They enjoyed the photo ops of all the people asking to take pictures of the corgis. Chepstow would really prance when he heard aren't those the queen's dogs.
De-hairing the RV has been a major job. Tried very hard to keep it under control daily but we all know corgi hair is a losing battle.
Stay warm everyone!
