I love the Sierras. I was born and raised (45 years) in California. Spent my last few years living in Yosemite. Sounds like you had a nice trip. We lived in Florida before moving to NC. We enjoy the winters in FL but happy to be in NC the rest of the year. We love staying in Key West, the fishing is good and such a fun town.
Love that photo! Sounds like you have been really busy! This whole year has been for me too so the short RV trips are such a welcome restful time.
Bev..Glad to hear you had a good time. We sold the art gallery the end of August and are trying to relax and calm down. I wish we could get a quick trip somewhere before we leave for Florida, but don't just don't have the time. October and November are my big art show months, think I have 7 shows this fall. I did win 2nd place in the nature divison of a show this summer. I love taking pictures of birds, bugs and bees. Here is my winner, it may not fit well.
Thanks for thinking about us Roger and Laurie. We return tomorrow from our Labor Day week trip. It has been good. I think it will be more difficult when we get home. Being in the RV with Sparty this summer has been difficult since as he has felt worse he has been more aggressive towards Misty in the small space. So this has been a good trip. At home it will be more difficult not to think about the Sparty before old age and cancer set in. Still missing him but know it was his time to go. We will go out again the end of the month.
Bev, How are thing going? I am sure you miss Sparty terribly, I am thinking of you. Did you enjoy your Labor Day week trip? Hope you had good weather. A few leaves are starting to turn here and the weatherman said our evening should be dipping into the high 50's
Hi Joyce
We would love to come for a visit. We usually come to Nashville in June for the CMA festival. When we were in Michigan last month the boys found a cute corgi girlfriend at the RV park. We just love finding corgi's on our travels. I am sure it is hard for you without Winston, my thoughts are with you.
You asked about our free spirited wild child........yes that is Tenby. If you look at my 1st Aug 9th post you will see one reason why he is our "crazy tri". Tenby is a rescue and lived in a small kennel his first 6 months. When we got him (at 6 months) he had no muscle mass and was afraid of his own shadow.
At 18 month a developed a limp. After xrays from the orthopedic vet they decided that due to his poor nutrition and in activity his shoulders didn't develop correctly and he would probably have to be put down by the time he was 3.
He was on 3 pain pills a day for a few years, but now he is just on 1 and is 6 years old. Our vet isn't sure what caused the stabilization, but who cares!!!
Our Corgi Winston only went camping with us one time, but he had the privilege of being owned by parents who own an RV Park and Campground ! Of course, we never let him run around the campground by himself, but I would sometimes take him on leash to visit campers, especially ones that had corgis ! We own Mountain Glen RV Park and Camground in Pikeville, TN which is about an hour north of Chattanooga. www.MountainGlen.com Anyone with a Corgi please come and stay and we'll discount your stay by 40%. It's beautiful here, and the leaves change in late October/early November. I miss Winston so much I can hardly express it.
