About My Corgi(s):: Chloe was born May 21, 2008. She's a beautiful sable PWC with a sweet, inquisitive and playful personality. Her favorite toys are her hedgehog and her squeaky bone. Chloe likes chewing on cow hooves and ice cubes. She loves going on walks, licking our feet, eating anything off of the floor and meeting new dogs at the nearby Alimagnet dog park in Burnsville, MN. She's our first dog and the first corgi in our family.

LOL Not stalkerish at all. I was wondering when you would join. You actually misssed out on our corgi meet up at the burnsville dog park last saturday the 18th. There was about 15 corgis there : ( So how is Chloe doing? Is she getting better with the dog park?

Something about your Chloe reminds me of my corgi Cody when he was a pup. I thinks its her eyes! Your pics are amazing. I love the one of her running in the grass and sleeping half way on the bottom of that table!!

Chole is just beautiful.. I love her face. My daughter and her husband just got a corgi puppy also. They have been married 2 years. Yogi is his name.. he was born July 28 2008. this is their first "child". LOL it is alot of fun.

I absolutely love the profile picture on your page.. it is a classic.. everyone looks beautiful in it.. what a photogenic (sp) family!! Yes.. we are having alot of fun with mr. yogi. he is quite active.. loves the dog park .. i babysit him on my days off while his parents are at their jobs. LOL.. guess it's good practice for the two legged kind.

Hi Laura, I'm from southwestern(Comfrey) MN about 2 hours from Burnsville but I know the area. I have a relative that lives in Savage and she may know the park! I have no problem coming up to the cities as I'm sure that is probably where the majority of Corgi MN people might be from.

Hi Chloe and Laura, Ok, We got Gemima and Phinneas at Dahlhouse too!!! Gem and Phinny were born Oct. 4th 2008! We were so sad and then elated to hear of Chloe's near death encounter! Unfortunately, we have had a scary summer too! Phinny was fatally hit by a car at our cabin in June and we lost our Big boy way too early!!(Gem escaped with minor injuries) I know what you mean when you say you felt so responsible!!! We will have fond memories of our boy!! Then came Edward!! he is the one you see in our profile and he dropped into our laps 1 wk after we lost Phinny!!! He is good puppy and quite a character!! We found him through a series of coincidences on a farm in Lime Springs Iowa!!! Anyway, we are so glad chloe is doing good. I would've paid any amount of money to have saved our Phinny but he was destined for greater things than we could give here on earth!! I am interested to know who Chloe's Parents are.... Wyatt and Bell are Gem and Phinny's parents, hope you have an uneventful rest of the Summer and stay in touch!!!

Hello Laura. I haven't been on here in a while. I just read about Chloe's antifreeze incident. That's horrible! I am so sorry you and Chloe had to suffer through that. That had to be heartbreaking for you. How has Chloe been the last month? Is she back to normal health?
Midgee was sick last week. He has never thrown up and then all of a sudden he was puking about 8 times in 24 hrs and had bloody diarrhea. Justin took him to the vet and it was inconclusive, but based on the symptoms, he thought Midgee has Giardia. (parasites). The vet was guessing it maybe came from the pond water at Alimagnet, since several dog owners who visit the dog park have had their dogs come in with Giardia.
Midgee got a shot and a weeks worth of antibiotics and he's back to normal now.

Hi Laura, the article talked about trying to introduce the dog to babies sounds and stuff before he/she actually arrives. They even have cds of baby sounds that you can play through out the day! Also, once the nursery is established teach the dog boundaries in the room. if you are going to gate it off do it before you bring home baby so it isn't a big change to him. Also, start walking with the stroller before baby...now you are in MN so you might want to borrow one before winter comes and start walking him with it. They also remind you about toys-dog toys look a lot like baby toys!. You can actually buy individual articles from them or subscribe it is a great journal!! Also a trainer recommended the book Living with Kids and Dogs...Without Losing Your Mind by Collen Pelar.

Glad everyone is good there!!! Fall is going fast, it seems more like Winter today and our daughter's soccer game even got canceled!!! Halloween will be fun cuz it's a Saturday, but still working out details of what we'll do other than go trick or treating. Gem and Ed both have costumes, Gem will be a Queen and Ed I'm debating over a Englishman or prince??? Next year you'll have a baby to dress up too!! Will Chloe wear a costume???

I pray for a healthy baby girl, an easy delivery and your Chloe will be a great "big sister" One suggestion, while you are in the hospital, send home a blanket your new baby has been snuggled in.
