My name is April and this is my first Corgi. I LOVE him! I have had dogs all my life...labs and mutts from shelters. Cody came from a breeder in Jacksonville. It has been a good experience and I am really happy with my new baby. I lived out in Wyoming for 7 yrs and loved it there. I decided on the name "Cody" because of my love for the Yellowstone area and because I met my first Corgi in WY. It really suits my little herder.
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
Cody was born on November 25, 2009. He came to his new home with us on February 13th, 2010. He is a red and white Pembroke. He has a wonderful temperment. Loving, extremely intelligent, and such a sweetheart. He really enjoys our walks, playing in the yard, and exploring anything and everything.
Cody has a couple pet peeves: someone sneezing & women on TV that scream, of and sqeeky small dogs. He loves fresh fruit: pineapple, mango, cantaloupe, and coconut. He also likes a little cottage cheese on his dry food in the morning.
An aggressive chewer, he burns thru toys like mad, although he is very good about only chewing his toys. Spoiling Cody is my favorite hobby.
Hi April,
Thanks for the friend invite! Cody is such a cutie . . . . I especially love the photo of you with him looking up at you! They grow up so fast . . . . just like the kids.
I know you'll enjoy him, as we really enjoy our Nellie. She's the sunshine in our lives.
Take care!
Kim
Hi April. Thanks for the invite. Cody is so cute. Corgis are the best dogs in the whole world. I have to warn you though, they are addicting. You can never have just one.
thanks for the friend invite, I have never yet met a Corgi or a Corgi owner that I do not like they are a special breed for sure and they attract the best people.
Too bad the world is not all Corgis people, it would be so much fun instead of the BS we have to put up with these days. The world needs to take a chill pill and spend some time with some short legged dogs and get the true meaning of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Of course the pursuit of happiness involves Corgis!!!!
Darn, I can't see Cody's pics at work. I'll have to do it at home. Thanks for the friend invite! Good luck with your pup! Jakey was soooo cute at 6 months old. Now, at almost three, he's like a little man. Check out my post on Jake's ACL surgery.

Cody is adorable. Lucy and I are delighted to be your friends. I love looking at Corgi photos and videos. Like Scott Wiley mentioned below, Corgis are the best and seem to attract the best owners. I've never met a Corgi or owner that doesn't have that a core of silliness, love of laughter and heart.
Oh Cody! Thank you for the gift! We hope you have a fabulous Memorial Day weekend! Corgi smoochies from Bear, Tasha and Linus (Fabio Fluffy of Flyball)
Hi, we are looking to add a 3 year old male to our family. Are males hard to house break? Please give suggestions. Abbey was kennel broke a 10 weeks. I was told that "Chester" has been an outdoor doggling and we want to get him to be comfortable indoors too. Thanks, Keli and Abbey
Just got on line for the first time in a long time (life has been getting in the way). Thank you so much for my gift, Cody. You are a thoughtful young man and a handsome devil.
Hey I read your comment about Cody's chewing, is that a Corgi thing? Mickey can not have toys he destroys them in less than an hr, what toy would you recommend. I thought it was because he young, he's only a year old and he doesn't seem to grow out of it. =-)
What a cutie! I've had Pembrokes since 1988 and I can't live without them in my life. You will find that, too, I think -- they are intuitive and funny -- absolutely irresistable!
Thank you for the gift! I tried to take a couple more pictures of Lily but she doesn't like picture taking -- quite the opposite of my first two corgis, Lovey & Megan, who not only happily posed for pictures but also loved to dress up for Halloween and Christmas. Megan went through a chewing stage for about a year. Despite getting her bones and chew toys -- she preferred furniture. The bed in the guest room and an old sideboard still bear her work. One day she just stopped doing it and we never had another problem. Its so hard to correct them -- they don't usually do it in front of you! And they are so cute (especially Cody)! Good luck and patience! Thanks, again.
Lily is not much of a chewer but I bought her a bone from the local butcher shop today -- the smallest one was so large she didn't know what to do with it (politely licked it). My husband cut it into four pieces with our chop saw and let her pick which one she wanted to start with. She picked the biggest one, of course. She isn't really chewing it yet but her little tail is going a mile a minute!
I bought Loki a ball at Walgreens it was about six dollars and it took him a few months to get through it.( Sorry; I don't remember exactly how long, but he got his money’s worth out of it.) He is on his second ball. I'm not sure how to post a photo of the ball on your wall. So; I'll post it on my page if you want to see what it looks like. My husband Chaun suggested that I let you know about it.
Cody has such a sweet face, such expressive eyes, and of course, some major league ears!! In some of those pictures, he has a little bit of a sad expression, but we all know what that's for! It's so you can't resist his charm, and boy, what a charmer!! Thanks for being our friend!!
Thanks for the welcome. My boys both came from FLA. Mingus from Ocala and Coltrane from Clearwater. Have you found Katie's Bumpers? You can google that name and find them. They are toys made from fire hose material. When Mingus was burning through a toy every five mintues (must destroy, must destuff, must desqueak), I got him one of these. It has a squeaky in it, but he never managed to take it apart. After seven years, it is still floating around here.
Hi Cody! Picasso has a problem with people sneezing too (acutally, only with my husband but not with me)... he need sto leave the room, or at least turn around and look the other way. You're a super cutie pie, Cody!
Cocosette says mil gracias for the lovely red ribbon! It's a nice gift on her nine week birthday. My girl is turning into quite the personality; mostly adorable with about ten percent gleefully rotten. In an effort to work off some of her excess energy, I've started getting her used to walking on a lead. She's about 50% amenable; hates to leave the house, leads the way when it's time to return. We had a little rain storm this morning so she got to experience wet pavement and grass. She seemed rather perplexed and wasn't big on getting her paws wet at first, lol.
I envy you living near the ocean. It's all lake for us here and then only during the warm months. Cody, who by the way is crazy photogenic, appears pretty content to just get his feet wet, lol.
