I'm all about my Corgi mix at the moment. He is a rescue and an escape artist, who will jump into anyone's car, gallops around the neighborhood, stopping in at various places for treats, etc. Not to mention the coyotes who have access to my property until I put up a coyote fence! Every day I think I can't handle him, I must give him up. ..but I know I won't do that. So life with young Frankie is exasperating and overwhelming!

It was actually a toe injury....didn't break them but had a lot of soft tissue swelling so they decided to cast it for a week and give it some rest time. It rained the whole entire time he had it on(a challenge) but he was much better after it came off. It was so sad when it happened he was just chasing Gem our girl corgi and turned a corner too sharply, then came up lame and whimpering. I let it go a couple of days but it didn't get any better so I ended up taking him in.
Frankie belonged to a neighbor on the next hill. He is an escape artist and got out at night, was being stalked by at least two coyotes when another neighbor happened to see what was going on and started throwing rocks at the coyotes. In an attempt to flee, Frankie rolled down the hill and broke his leg. As soon as he was out of the hospital, he came to live with me.
We don't have a coyote problem here. I see them dead on the highway quit often but, I have never seen one close to our house. Maybe they get full before they make it this far into our neighborhood. I doesn't matter here because Joni (our Great Dane) does not let anyone mess with her little brother (Bear). She has already dealt with three pit bulls that have chased him home. Anyway good luck.
