About Me:
I am seaching for my lost corgi Bear! He was stolen from us on 12/13/06 and he is micro chipped. He was to be my major stud dog until he was taken. Please watch for him. It is making us sick missing him. Please check your dog for a chip! Especially if you do not know his background! These people just will not return him to us. We have had a $5,000 reward out for him. He was my best dog!

Bear Tri Colored Corgi Stolen

Posted on February 15, 2009 at 3:10pm 4 Comments

We are forever going to be seaching for Bear. I sit here to day crying about him. I have other dogs as well but Bear was my personal dog that was with me when I lost my husband and was my forever dog. The day he came missing tore my heart into pieces. We know the people that stole him from the truck and trailer I saw the day I came home to let him out to go potty. They pulled over by my mailbox and picked my dog up. Now they keep there horses down the street from me. I want my dog back. I don't… Continue

I am new to this site but I just want to tell that I am so terribly sorry for your losses (your husband and your dog). I am also sorry that some people have treated you wrongly as you searched for your Bear.....when I hear about that, I have to think hard about other good saintly people who rescue dogs who are mistreated and abandoned....in order to maintain any faith in humanity. I watched the video of Bear, and he is a great little Corgi (so gorgeous)! I hope you can find him again and bring him home, but until then I will just pray that Bear is watched over and kept by loving hands. Maybe someone got him through this crook who kidnapped him, but they may not know how he was obtained and just inocently adopted him to love him. I can't begin to understand why people would steal someone's beloved dog, but oddly enough, when we got our Corgi puppy in 2007, our vet specifically told me she was a "theft risk"......he did not say that about any of our other two dogs (who are also cute but other breeds). That did put fear in me and she has never know the joy of being "off-leash" except at a small dog park...... Maybe there is something about Corgis.....but imaging how you feel breaks my heart. I hope that those darling puppies you have had in your breeding program bring you some comfort. Take care of yourself and know that we who love Corgis do feel your pain.

Please would you have the dog read for a chip. He looks so much like my Bear. Please! His chip would be 4414072B44. If you go to any vet they will do it for not cost.

oh...also, we had both dogs microchipped. though I guess that doesn't necessarily protect them from thieves...

Hi, we got Stubby when we were in Boston...he's from Sippiwisset corgis (Julia Clough) in York, Maine. We got our first (Mits) there, loved her so much we got Stubby to play with... He's 5 years old now.

Such a sad story, I can't imagine how it must feel to know someone stole your dog. I've heard of this happening to dogs in San Francisco too. There are some sick people out there. Good luck, hope you find Bear soon!

He is chipped now. But not when he was at the shelter. He was a stray at LA Castaic shelter. Then bailed out by PWCCSC, then adopted by me. He did not have a chip when found but now he has an AVID chip. I've seem pics of your Bear. I think Sport's head is narrower than Bear. Also hard to tell from pics, but Bear looks bigger in general - Sport is kind of small for a male - about 27 pounds.

Hi Grace,
your story is heartbreaking but keep looking. In answer to your question, I got my corgi from a lady in our community who has one or two litters a year and she owns the parents. Her same is Sally and her website is www.mountaincorgis.com .........good luck with your search.
