About Me:: Loving life with my first pembroke welsh corgi, Finnegan! He is a true joy, gregarious, smart, quick, and playful, and the sweetest heart to be bestowed upon a furry creature. We enjoy sheep herding, rally, obedience, agility, and hiking, swimming, camping, and playing with other dogs and even horses and cats too!

About My Corgi(s):: Finnegan "Finn" is my first corgi. He is almost 2 years old and a titled Herding dog on sheep. We are hoping to continue competing in other rings (while continuing climbing the herding ladder) such as rally, agility, and possibly obedience. He even likes to Lure course (though corgis aren't allowed to compete in that!). His "big brothers" are Tucker, a golden retriever and Tannus, a lynx point short hair cat. My husband, Andy, and I enjoy all our boys, but know that Finn is at the heart of the family.

So, my work has gone to computerized scheduling, and when I print out my weekly schedule I see where things have gotten pretty busy with the dogs...and rightly so!

Tucker, my golden, has physical therapy one day a week. Finn, my corgi, has rally training on wednesday evenings followed by play time in the clubs fenced field. Saturday mornings are spent herding sheep, where Saturday afternoons are for learning to behave at the barn and around horses. Every morning, lunch break, and evening… Continue

At 1:54am on January 24, 2010, Amber and Kirby said…: hi laura, sorry its been so long since i last wrote!!! i just wanted to let you know that kirby is now officially my dream dog!!! he is coming when i call almost 100% of the time and he dosnt run off anymore :) we didnt end up going to puppy classes since money is soo tight nowadays but i found myself getting creative with his training!!! i was also wondering when the next time you will be going hearding will be? i really want to get kirby around some farm animals.... i love horses and other lifestock too much not to socilize him around them (and fulfill his herding instinct, he is begining to herd the more gentle of our cats) btw, how is the new pack member? is she a sweetheart?
