About Me:
I grew up with a female PW Corgi (1974-1988) named Kelby, and never lost my love for the breed.

About My Corgi(s):
I finally purchased my Corgi in 2004 - a 5-year old PWC rescue from Texas named Bon Bon.

She was originally sold to a family who abused her, and when the breeder (StarCreek) didn't see her at shows, she went to the owner's house and took her back (starving, 14lbs). She was nursed back to health, but the abuse affected her such that she didn't breed well, and thankfully, her breeder finally decided to find her a "forever home." :-)
Bon Bon had a tough time adjusting early on. She had been back with her breeder for 3+ yrs, and was suddenly shipped away again on a plane to us. She took about 10-14 months to acclimate, and took probably 2½ years to really become "comfortable" here. She's 9½ yrs. old now, and doing GREAT!

AKC - StarCreek's Surprise Her With Candy (Bon Bon)
Sire: Schafferhaus Boofy Bear
Dame: Graceland's Fame and Fortune
Bon Bon - In A Cast
On the night of her 8th birthday, she landed funny coming down our old, very steep back stairs (which have since been replaced) and broke a little Corgi toe. She hobbled about in a cast for a li'l over a month. This was right after getting the cast on...

Hi Mark, Just saw your post on the meet up page...when we have taken spencer for the bortedella, its a nose spray that they administer to him..takes about 10 seconds. Hope you can make it on Sunday.

Really enjoyed seeing you and Tracy and of course Bon Bon at the picnic this year again. I will forward the photos I did manage to take of Bon Bon, despite her attempts to hide from the camera!! Thanks for noticing the differences in Ginger this year. I laughed to myself thinking back on how she made it very well known that she wanted to go back in the house. That was humorous. It'll be fun to compare notes again next year! Please keep in touch! OK? -Christina

Awww, you have such a cute corgi! It breaks my heart to hear what her past life was like. Thank God for you to rescue the wonderful little girl and give her a loving home. *corgi hugs*

Hes not so photogenic anymore either. That's probably the best pic I've ever had of him. He used to jump up at the camera, but I guess his age is getting to him. He doesnt like to jump up at anyone anymore, his joints maybe hurting him.
