Rainbow Bridge
"After we get separated, Al, let's meet at that log crossing down there in the White River valley, under the rainbow. Then we'll go up Lightning Creek, and Thunder Basin, and anyplace else we want to go..."
You don't often see a rainbow below you.
Dakobed Range SE of Glacier Peak. Lightning Creek and Thunder Basin are the two valleys just past the rainbow. Glacier Peak is off to the left. White Pass is Dog-and-Backpacker Heaven. Prime sheep pasture in the 30's, too.
Pacific Crest Trail. We returned Sept. 2010, hiked behind the skyline peaks and up that seldom-traveled valley on a hard-to-find trail, nearly got lost.
