There's a lot of this in a dog's life. Al is waiting for me to finish setting up camp, crawl into the sleeping bag, fire up the stove, put away that stupid camera, and get out the dog food. This is a gentle 6400' summit, no better place to spend a midsummer night in good weather. But scenery? Scenery is the inside of the dog bowl.
