I love this picture of the two of you!  She was gorgeous with those soft big brown eyes!  I also love how you are holding her close to your heart!!!  Always and forever!!!

Oh Janice, I am so very sorry.  Your response to Rebecca made me cry.  I hope that I am many years off from having to make such a horrible decision, but sooner or later, those days will come.  As hard as it is, I don't think there is anything more loving that a person can do than to realize when it's time to let go and give the ones we love so much some peace and freedom from pain.

I know very well how your feeling, i lost my ginny  last aug 2010 to a sudden heart attack, she was only 3 yrs old. I still call out her name when i call my other one whos name is gracie. She was our new addition after ginny past away. And unfortunatley i have to make the same decision myself very soon. My Wrangler's auto immune disease has really taken a toll on him. He can't walk anymore, have to carry him in and out. And now he is starting to whimper when i pick him up. We've been thru 10 wonderful years together, he is my sweatheart. It breaks my heart to, to know that i have to do this. Just don't know when i will have the courage to do this. He looks at me with those eyes, and i just cry. It is so very hard, but you don't want them to suffer. The pain is very deep. It just goes to show how special they are in our lives.

Thank you Rebecca.  Unfortunately this will be the last picture I have taken with Kinsey.  I had to make the heart wrenching decision last Friday to let her go and in the words of her vet "prevent much suffering".  My heart aches for her every day and the tears flow.  They say everyone has that ONE special dog in their lifetime...Kinsey was mine.
