Louis Creek High Route
We spent night 1 at this idyllic place. The next year, Gwynnie climbed the peak behind her, Fortress Mt., 8700', not as hard as it looks, but that's a pretty big peak for the Cascades. These trees are larches, and turn beautifully yellow in the autumn.
This is a quite remote place, no trail into here, a long hard day.
