Near White Pass. We're safely back on the Pacific Crest Trail, an easy day back to the car, almost completed our loop around Glacier Peak. It's been a great trip. This was our one day of good weather. The previous night, we were camped at a high pass just off the right margin of this photo, near the peak at the edge. Always wet, I slept with all my clothes on and Al entirely inside the sleeping bag from bedtime til dawn for the last 6 nights of this trip, a live electric blanket. Humans have been doing this as long as there have been dogs. 9/12 2010.

Love how Al is doing his best to imitate the peaks. Or is it the other way 'round?
