Beca--

They were already used to sharing space. They have been together for over two years now and while they are both fixed, they are absolutely in love with each other. I often find them napping in the corner together or snuggled up on the couch. The male (with the blaze) doesn't much care for the dog trailer and does whimper a lot while he is in it (he is afraid of most anything) but the female loves to sit in there and watch the world go by. I have only taken them out 3 or 4 times so far, so he should stop whimpering after a while. Mine is the medium as well I believe, so you should have plenty of room for two!

Danielle - awesome!  Did you have to do anything special to get them used to riding together, or were they already used to sharing space before you got the trailer?  Eventually we'd like to get a second dog.  :)

That is the Medium dog trailer by Solvit.....got it on Amazon.  There was nothing wrong with it, but as soon as I started commuting to work by bike + trailer I realized that I really needed cargo space (clothes + dog stuff + work stuff + purse just wasn't fitting in my backpack and my little road bike does not support a rear rack) and also, a kickstand for the trailer!  So we sold this one to a nice person at the dog park and upgraded to one of the DoggyRide Novel trailers....and got the cargo rack accessory.  The second one has even better construction quality than the first, and you can take the wheels off and have the whole thing fold down for storage - I use it as a travel crate as well.  Burley also makes one that I considered.  The DoggyRide and Burley trailers aren't cheap, but the suspension is great and they roll smoothly.  :)
