This 115 year-old turntable is the terminus of the Everett & Monte Cristo RR. Monte Cristo is an 1890's mining town in western Washington state, long abandoned. This locomotive turntable still turns, making a wonderful sound like an elephant in heat sawing a tuba in half with a rusty hack saw.
Does anybody else let their corgi play on the railroad tracks?

I have a cousin who builds his own smaller locomotives and actually uses track lines out in Colorado. All the men in my father's family (including my brothers) are train nuts! I remember Dad's layout in the basement which, as a child, fascinated me. Mom and Dad used to travel on the Orient Express, too.

Two of my favorite things...Corgis and RR history :-) Lots of RR tracks in my town...none that Jack can play on. He does like to "sing along" when he hears the train whistle, though...LOL

lmfao. how cute. I do not let Kota play on railroad tracks as the ones around here are frequently used...
