John Wolff said… Maggie and I share I birthday. I'm 58 years older.
John Wolff said… Someone around here -- maybe Joanna Kimball, Blacksheep Cardigans (big blog)? -- wrote a blog about raw, and she said if you can find a butcher, things like organ meats (maybe not liver), she mentioned tripe as being cheap, just slice it up and freeze the pieces -- I've never done that, I go only so far to please my owners...
John Wolff said… I forgot to add, Riley & Maggie look stunning together. A unique pair.
Do watch their weight. We let Al gain about 1 lb (vet's advice; dunno if she knows anything). I was surprised he's only 25. I got lucky at a garage sale, found a hanging scale 0-50lbs -- put dog in strong nylon bag, and carefully hang it on the scale (low, in case of a fall). Can't go by absolute numbers, just have to assess their body fat (a little being OK).
My neighbor has an incredible corgi who I'd always thought overweight -- he was, but not as much as I'd thought). He's a different build. Maybe he's lost a pound. Thinks he's a border collie; he leaps clear off the ground!.
I especially like your pics of those two in the snow, they look like little badgers or skunks.
Looks like Riley's happy to have someone to pester him.
