My first posting in this group.. Occasionally, I wake up at night because Sterling is chewing. I quickly push him back down to the foot of the bed. I thought he had been chewing my bed frame (which is still not allowed), but when I was making my bed the other day I noticed that he had been chewing the WALL. seriously, the wall. There's a whole chunk of drywall missing. I took a picture, but I haven't figured out how to post one in a group from my iPad yet.
Also, yesterday we took the kids to the zoo and to do a little geocaching and left Sterling at home with my brother. My brother heard him barking at his bell by the door. (We're trying to teach him to ring it when he wants to go outside. Mostly he barks at it when he needs to go out, but he rings it if we ignore the barking) Instead of taking him outside, he brings him down to his room in the basement and puts him on his bed because he thought he was just lonely. Apparently, sterling gave him a little yip, tuned around a couple times, and then peed on his bed. My brother said he was just too cute to be mad at him (I inserted that it was his own fault anyway), but he yelled and brought him outside then.
I hope this is a one-time thing as he sleeps in bed with me every night and we haven't had a potty accident there.. (knock on wood!)

She's just helping with the dishes, seeing as you have so much work to do.

She would have probably fallen off the table. =P Abby is very curious about Furby but does not trust it at all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmROI_PjKXM

I would have loved to be watching if that Furby suddenly started up while she was up there!

She is obviously starving.

I left my room for a quick trip downstairs and when I got back my dog was on my desk licking my dinner plate clean and not even caring that I’m asking why she is up there and using my “you were bad, so feel guilty” voice. She obviously has no shame when caught in the act of doing something naughty. Look at those puppy prints on my desk!

@sam, You are exactly right. First I was worried that she swallowed an earring and the possibility of it puncturing her GI tract somehow, then I saw the gum package remnants and went into emergency mode.

@chris, What no pictures?  I guess you were too concerned with her well being to worry about pictures, but it would have been fun!

Naughty Sophie story #2: We were having work done on the house by a guy whom we trusted implicitly. We took mother-in-law out for a leisurely lunch and visit to a museum, leaving Sophie in her crate in our bedroom so she would be out of the workman's way (she loved him and he'd play with her at the end of the day, so she'd have pestered him to no end if left loose). We came home a few hours later, opened the bedroom door, and found Miss S. in the midst of a huge mess (not that kind) on the floor -- chewed up tissues, pens, a lipstick, gloves, some earrings, and worst of all, the remnants of a pack of chewing gum. Looking around, I saw that she had been up on top of my dresser. On further investigation, I discovered that she had chewed through the lining of the outside pocket of my purse, which was hanging on the corner of the mirror, thus gaining access to its contents. That stinker figured out how to open her crate,  somehow climbed on top of it, climb onto the dresser, and then had a party with the items on my dresser and in my purse. We took her to the vet ER and $800 later (stomach pumping, insulin reaction monitoring, etc. due to the xylitol in gum), and upon bringing her home, watched as she ran back to the scene of the crime, looking for her crate and more gum. Our workman felt terrible; he said he could hear her making noise in the bedroom, but he didn't want to go in there since that wasn't an area he had to work in and he didn't want to invade our privacy. After that, we gave him permission to check on our darling if he ever heard her making weird noises.
