In 3 days, we hiked around everything in this photo except the distant glaciated peak (Sloan Peak, we started near there). We awoke on Day 3 in the basin below Gwynnie's nose, expecting rain, scrambled to this 6770' peaklet, then walked the ridge crest to White Mtn. at left, 7000'. It's fairly gentle terrain by Cascade standards. We're over 10 miles from the car and we'll hike an hour in the dark.
The first rains of autumn began just as we started our drive home -- a refreshing reversal of custom.
