Kerry, please don't worry about the Christmas card thing...it sounds like you have your plate full to overflowing. Wyatt must be getting big. Our grandson, Jordan, who is around Wyatt's age, I think, is getting big also. I think it won't be too much longer before I'm the shortest family member again! He isn't 6 yet but already comes up to about my armpit! Morna is somewhat out of sorts with us today. We went to Jacksonville, FL last Friday and came back yesterday (to visit our daughter and her family). She has a daughter, and that daughter has 2 little girls, which makes me a greatgrandmother! My husband and I buy gift cards for them and they love shopping in Walmart with their own "charge" cards. Unfortunately, that part of our family are cat lovers, and no dogs allowed! We had to leave Morna home with Sharon and her girlie, Bear. There was no problem, but today Morna is not letting us out of her sight. My husband left a bit ago to run an errand and she barked and scratched at the back door like her world was coming to an end. I petted her and gave her a few treats then took her into the living room with Bear and put the animal channel on. They both seem to like watching that... and lucky me! the program is about dogs right now!!!

Regarding your new puppies, yes, I would agree that the bluies may not be as pretty as Morna and the breed standard, but if their disposition and intelligence is anything like Morna's they will be well loved by whoever gets them.

I meant to take a lot of pix at Christmas, but didn't... :-( when I get some up to date pix of Morna, I'll send them to you. Take care, don't work so hard that you overdo it. All humans are bred with a limit... get to know yours! Thank you again for this precious little girl. She really is dearly loved, so that great Welsh name is really appropriate for her! Edie

Edie, sorry I am so irresponsible as to not send a Christmas Card back to you. I have had one of those falls/winters! Finding time to do what I used to do while working full time and raising a much smaller child now at times seems impossible. Once again, God Bless my husband! He is the glue that holds all of my hair-brain ideas together and pays for it as well. Wyatt, Morna's human big brother is doing well. He misses his fall Soccer league very much and often calls Hattie, ( Morna's little sister,same mom, same dad from my last litter). a bad baby! Wow, I think she may be as big of a handful as Morna. She hasn't "dumbed" herself down yet to fit into my program but I absolutely love her! She is her mother only better, much like Morna, I am sure.

I purchased a new female this fall to breed named Shamrock. I really liked her because she reminded me of my dog, Kylie. Today, she had her puppies. Unfortunately, four of the seven were what are called bluies. Both parents had outstanding bloodlines with many champions. Obviously, they were not a great combination. At least as far as color goes. Three of the seven are beautiful black tris like Morna and four have a steel gray cast where they should be black. Oh well, I know that the puppies I raise are good pets and that should be enough. Although, I hate when the perfect (supposed) combination goes wrong. I am sure they will be beautiful dogs regardless if they are breed standard. I am very happy to have you in my life and I hope that you and your family are blessed (including your animals) in the New Year! Hi Kerri..it was nice to hear from you. I modestly must agree with you that she is a very beautiful girl! With all of our trips to rehab facilities/nursing homes when my daughter broke her thigh bone and had a surgical repair, we haven't been able to get our little girl to training classes. I hope that after the first of the year we will have more peace/quiet around here so that I can do right by her and get her to the obedience classes. This will be better for her and for us, I am sure. I love her, and she is moderately affectionate with me, but she LOVES my husband. You'd think she was his dog!!! So much for getting a dog that is MY dog.. but she is well loved and seems happy most of the time (timeouts for bad behavior are not popular with her - no surprise there,..nobody likes timeouts). I am trying to get her a Santa hat that I hope she will allow to be on her head long enough for me to take some Christmas pictures of her.

It was nice to hear from you.. I don't know how you have time to do rescue work, but now I admire you even more than I did before! I know they take a lot more time/attention because of their circumstances. Good for you!!! I'll keep posting pix from time to time. If I can get a good Christmas one that will be up for sure! I wish a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family! Edie

Edie, I am sooo happy to see that Morna is a happy and (semi) well adjusted girl. I know they can be difficult at times but they grow into the very best adults! She is more beautiful as an adult than she was cute as a puppy. I am proud to have briefly owned her and even more proud that she is your pride and joy! God Bless you Corgis are never easy but they are truly worth it! I have joined a rescue in our area. Now God Bless my husband!
