On the ridge, nearing the 8674' summit. Windy. This is the 3rd day of the trip.
Does she like this stuff? What goes on inside that furry little mind?
Climbers would call this an easy climb, a Class 2 scramble, but most climbers' legs are longer than 6 inches. This is a pretty big mountain for Washington State, 37th highest. An afterthought: we awoke in wet gloom, ready to go home, but a moment's warmth betrayed the thinness of the clouds, so we climbed up in fog by map & compass, to pierce the clouds just below the summit. A huge thrill! We had it all to ourselves.

i just love this shot... It's the sort of way I feel when I've finished a long hike.

Accomplishment and zen, Corgi style. :)
