Taken from the car window, Canadian Rockies. Early July; I think she's blowing her coat, that's why she looks so scruffy. Basically, a skinny corgi with legs, a tail, ticks, fleas, and no collar or rabies shots. A hard life, but free.

Around here we have 2 very distinct Coyote calls the 1st is the letting other coyotes that they are passing through their territory and the 2nd which send chills up my spine is when I hear them nearby and they are sounding like it's party time:( Maybe that's their "lure" and Sage  and Bella might go to investigate. I do let Wynn and Livvy out at night but am always aware of this. The others go in the fence. We also have an Aussie who will alert bark to anything outside.

We have had a few Couger sitings in the last 9 months...both within 20 miles of our home and one was caught on a night camera.

Our Aussie has battled with a younger coon...not fun trying to shine a flashlight and shoot the injured coon in the dark.

I am thinking anyone with Corgis have their dogs in at dark...or a bigger dog to ward off unwanted dangerous animals.

Coyotes are known to playfully lure domestic dogs to their death.  Bobcats are a real threat.   I read an account of a hiker chasing a mountain lion (!) off his corgi (I would not expect a cougar to leave just because I ask it to).  A raccoon can easily kill a single coon hound.

We have urban coyotes in Seattle.

We hear them every night around here but seldom see them. I have to put Sage in the fence at night because I'm afraid she will try to go be friends with them:(

Looks like she is just casually strolling by the road.

No fear of man or machine?
