This modest, popular 5700' summit has stunning views. The peaks here in the west Cascades are not huge -- Three Fingers, in the distance, is 6870' -- but they start low, so the relative relief is great and the country is very rugged. This hike gains 3800'.

I spent a fairly fun weekend in Airconditioning showing Spunky.. at the DECC in DUluth... seeing this .. think your weekend was wayyyyy more fun. What incredibly beautiful weather for your part of the world.. seattle never has sun HAHAAHAHAHAHHA * so Im told*

wow John hope it isnt as sttep a drop as it looks HAHAHA I would be afraid to let mine loose...dorkbutts would fall over the edge!!Although the camera angle is probably to account for some of my fear:)
