oops. i'm so bad at navigating this site. someone sent a message to a group i started, "corgis remembered," and asked if the corgi in the thumbnail sketch with a baby by his side was a Pettiwood Corgi, as her Kelly, looked very much like him. Rookie was a Pettiwood, and I would post a million photos of him if we had digital cameras at the time. Lucky you. I loved Rookie so much that I took far too many photos of him. Just capturing him diving in the pool was AMAZING. So here's to all the Pettiwood Corgis and their progeny. I think of Rookie every day.

PS I now remember that Pat didn't want me to name Rookie, Great Expectations, because she thought he was too high in the leg. So he was Oliver Twist. You rule ROOKIE.
