Al's 3rd birthday hike. Not a big peak (6009'), but it rises 5000' in 2 miles from the river. Being on the summit is like being up in an airplane. You're sitting right at the edge of that 200'cliff. There's an easy climbers' path to the top. Maybe a 5 mile hike with 4000' gain, not even a challenge for a corgi. The view includes 2 volcanoes, some big valleys, and many really rugged, craggy peaks. A perfect late summer day in a place where the weather is usually awful.
