Oh yer thats super cute- I have a similar one that had toilet paper in it... mmmmm I never posted it:)))
All three of my Corgis have liked the kitchen or bathroom floors probably because they were cool as
you indicated. He would often play after I went to bed to that little waste basket was banged all around
against things. That may have been another herding thing.
I was lucky but I think house training goes faster when they have a doggie door. Initially, I took
his deposits from the litter box out to the back yard and then when it warmed up enough to go out
and learn the doggie door, there they were. So that must be where they should be left. It took
longer with the urine. i had to catch him and put him in the litter box, then he seemed to conclude
that he should do that outside like the solid stuff.
I had to use the bathroom for one of my dogs years back. Lost more than one roll of tp :-).
Your pup learned pretty fast. I know about training in the cold. I had some really cold potty trips over the winter, I used pads but he liked going out better.
That bathroom became his room for the first 4 - 6 weeks. Crate didn't work and it
was too cold to train him to go out so we had to use a litter box and it was in their.
We started outdoor training at about 2 weeks and got rid of the litter box at about 5 weeks.
We have a doggie door and he has used it exclusively after about week 4.
