- I love animals and appreciate the nature of dogs, whether they are purebred dogs for show or mutts of unknown origin. I also like cats, and I can never pick a favorite between cats and dogs. I immensely enjoy being in Montana, as does the rest of my family (including the 2 corgis!) because of the open space, fresh natural air, great people, cool weather, and heavenly natural scenery.

- I love animals, and when it comes to dogs, I have a particular love for corgis. My grandpa had a Pembroke welsh corgi named Winston, but passed away a year or two after his buddy Winston died. My family had adopted 2 brother cats named Mickey and Pluto, so I thought we would never have a dog. But one fall, when my dad had been out with my brother, they came through the door with what I thought was a stuffed puppy until I saw her looking around curiously. A puppy! A Pembroke welsh corgi, like my grandpa had! My dad had chosen her because her price at the store had been dropped twice, she was the largest one, and not a "popular choice", so she would have been sent to science if she wasn't adopted. We named her Daisy, and adjusted to raising both cats and a new dog. The following summer, Daisy's first time on an airplane and visiting Montana, we decided that she needed a sibling playmate. My dad looked online and found new Pembroke welsh corgi puppies for adoption from a breeder on a farm in Big Timber. We set up an appointment, being required to let the puppies grow enough and have ours weaned from his mother's milk, and one day drove to Big Timber with Daisy to meet the newest soon-to-be member of our family. We met the puppies and were showed the one we had selected from the pictures put online. We were also shown the barn where the puppies had been born, and we had to let Daisy wait elsewhere for the rest of the time there because the mama corgi didn't want Daisy near the puppies. Our dad went through some papers with the breeder, got instructions on proper care and feeding, and we drove off with 2 corgis: our dog Daisy, and her new brother Trooper. Needless to say, the dogs and the cats now stay apart from the other species while enjoying the company of their own. Daisy and Trooper compete for attention, as all dogs do, and we make sure they know they are loved.
