Generally, I've heard the same thing you have, though each dog is certainly different! Sidney is a little clown and very friendly, and he loves to come snuggle next to me :)
A good person to ask about Cardi's is Natalie & Lance. Lance is a gorgeous blue merle cardi, and she can tell you quite a bit about his personality. I expect she'll say "hi" shortly :)
