Have you visited or spoken with corgi breeders, and people who run corgi and other dog rescue organizations? They are great sources of information.

Lastly--please borrow or buy the book about various dog breeds called Paws to Consider, by Brian Kilcommons and Sarah Wilson, who have loads of experience with dogs--he is a past director of the City of New York Center for Animal Care and Control.
