I have owned Corgis for 40 yrs. All I can say is that if you can get a puppy from him now, you are a lucky woman indeed! Usually they are all spoken for, but you can get on a list for a future litter. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Tell him hello from Lucy and me in Fullerton. Keep me posted. I'll be rooting for you! We had lost our 14 yr old Corgi, Dylan, and were grieving so...until we went to Nebriowa...and got Lucy...the best Corgi in America. haha!
Lucy's breeder is Tim Mathiesen, Nebriowa Kennel. He's one of the finest Corgi breeders in the US. I can't say enough about him and the quality and temperament of his Corgis. His kennel is cleaner than my kitchen. Just google Nebriowa Corgi and see some of his dogs. He doesn't have a website. He's old school that way. But if you look at my photos posted on this site (too many!) you'll see Tim with my husband, and a litter of his stunning puppies. Lucy, my red & white Pem from Tim, is the best corgi I've ever owned, and I've had only Corgis since I was a teenager. I've adored everyone, but Lucy is something special.
Sooo sorry about your loss ~ My Eddie left us in 2009, and I almost didn't survive it. He was more than a friend...and I miss him each and every day. Our home was so empty I thought I would go crazy ~ and then I foude Hanna. They are as different as night and day, but I wouldn't trade her for the world! You will find a friend too - I'm sure of it. Those of us who love our Corgis cannot go for long without one running around....Good Luck on your new adventure!
Keep in touch. I've had Corgis since I was in HS and started the Corgis remembered group to honor my Corgis past. They are still in my life and my heart. I posted photos, but it was before digital cameras, so I've slacked off a bit in scanning a few of my babies and write a tribute to them. It helped me. Maybe you should post some memories and photos of Chester, if you feel it would help and not be too painful. All things in their time.
Not sure where in CA you live. It's late and I'm too pooped to google your city. Lucy's breeder is outside Oakland, and one of the best breeders. Ricky-Rafa was a rescue. We're in S. CA. Thanks so much for your kind words about our corgis. Do you want one of them? hahaha!

Tell him he was highly recommended by Wendy & Jack Florin
BTW, Tim was one of the 4 writers of the PWCCA's Corgi Standard
