Tenby's kennel was bigger than a rabbit hutch (your poor baby). He was never let out and only had people socialization at meal times. We have had him 3 years and he still is very afraid of people and enviroments away from his house and yard. But just like your Lew once he accepts a person they are his friend for life. Last year he developed a limp, after finally taking him to an orthopedic specialist it was determined both of his shoulders are in very bad condition. The Vets are 99% sure this is because of lack of movement and development his first 6 months. He is now on pain and muscle relaxers for life. At some point a shoulder will go and nothing can be done, but until that time he our wonderful sweet little "wild child".
Welcome, our Tenby (tri) was rescued from a terrible breeder at 6 months. He to is the most loving, sweetest and loyal dog one could have. He did arrive with what we call "survivor issues" but we just love him even more.
My little guy Hardy was breeding stock at a puppy mill also. It seems like the little guys know that they have been saved and show their appreciation in their sweetness!
