Hi Jennifer, it was great to see Corki. We all thought his name was Quicki. Looks like Corki had so much fun and he seemed to enjoy playing with Yogi and Abby. For updates on upcoming meet ups, you can join the Corgis Of BC meet up group. You have to go to www.meetup.com and search for Corgis Of BC. And to join, you'll need to create a profile. Hope to see you two at the next meetup. Hopefully we will have better weather next time.
Gork was a rescue. His original name was Corky. But, I had a neighbor with the first and only corgi I saw in my childhood (in NY). My mom said that their dog was actually a breed––a Welsh Gorky. Well, she got it a bit wrong and a bit right. Once I learned the actual name, I said I would get a corgi and name him Gorki. So that's the story. Changing Corky's name to Gorky was an easy switch. Anyhow, so glad we're friends. Seems like it was meant to be!
Corki's adorable. My Ricky is a year, and even tho' he's almost twice the size of Lucy he stills falls off the sofa. He loves to frap with Lucy and leap at her from the sofa. He has no problem there. It's the jumping on the sofa that the goofball often fails to manage. Lucy manages it with ease. I had a corgi named Gorki. We called him The Gork. Looks like you're enjoying every minute with Corki. Nothin' beats a corgi or two.
