About My Corgi(s):
Our sweet Pembroke Corgi, Holly, was born in October, 2010. We are newbies at having a Corgi and we're loving her (although not so much at first!) Santa brought her for our three girls ages 13, 17 & 18 to love. We lost our 15 y/o Golden two years ago and Santa knew we were finally ready to open our hearts to a new puppy. Unlike our previous experience with a passive Golden, Holly quickly let us know everything would be just fine if we did exactly what she wanted us to do. She was large and in charge of a 5 person family although she weighed just under 7 pounds!!!
I have:
Pembroke

Hey Leigh Ann, I love Goldens and Corgis, but they are very different dogs in size and temperament. Sometimes it's hard to open your heart to another dog, same or different breed, after a loss of a treasured pet. I'm guessing someone smart chose a Corgi for its character and personality. Give Holly a chance. Corgis are bossy, funny, silly and loyal. They also are quick to sense your feelings and acting them out. All Corgis need/thrive/l lovinginteraction with their family. You're their herd, and what their life is about.That's why they so bossy. Try not to compare Holly to your Golden and just show her lots of love. You'll be shocked and thrilled with the Corgi you have!
