Pippin is my first corgi (Pembroke). Over the years, I have had Norfolk/Norwich terriers, dachshunds(4), Goldens (3), Doberman, Tibetian Spaniel - I downsized from the Dobie to the corgi. First met a corgi 30 yrs ago in Wales and tried later to get one but they were not that popular in U.S. so years went by with the other breeds. I found your site in CorgiL

About My Corgi(s):
Pippin is my first corgi and I find her delightful and very sweet and very friendly. She was 2 last Nov. She is sable/white with a large white collar and chest. Everyone admires her as she is sweet and very friendly, loves children and most other dogs. She goes to the barn almost every day and cleans up any horse feed dropped (watching her wt. she is 23 lbs but has a waist). When off lead at the barn she responds IMMEDIATELY to her squeaky toy, She respects the horses and is not encouraged to "herd" these guys. Probably would but I'm too chicken to encourage.
I have:

In Ireland, Pip is a mild term for brat - i.e., "you little pip" a remark to a child seeking attention. As my Pippin has developed into a very patient little girl, she is never referred to as a "little pip."
Welcome Mary and Pippin! I love that name: one of our cats is named Pippin! Did you name her after the hobbit (as is the case with our cat) or the Stephen Schwartz musical?
