Cushings/kidney issues

I’m not sure if this posted already—my last entry disappeared after typing. My corgi just turned 10 and over the last 6 months has developed several complex health issues. She has many  symptoms of cushings but has not tested positive in any of the many tests she has undergone so far.  The vet also said she has a kidney issue PLN protein losing nefrapathy and high blood pressure. She has been given meds for the high blood pressure and fish oils for the other symptoms. Has any one had a corgi…See More

Thank you to every one who has responded to my blog post. I am starting with a new dog trainer this week (the last one may have been good with dogs but HORRIBLE with people) I am hoping to get more input regarding exercise and foods and will share what I have learned with our new friends! Thanks again for you help keep the information coming-- can never have too much input from experienced corgi owners : )

best dog food/Exercise

Hi I am new to Mycorgi.com. I have a 13 week old corgi and had a few questions. what dog food do you feed your corgi-- I am currently using NUTRO choice--don't know if it is the best --dont mind paying a lot as long as it is good and she is healthy. Also, what do you do to exercise your corgii. I understand they need A LOT of exercise but I will return to work in september (I am a teacher) and she will be crated from 8-2:30. Any comments/suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks Mary and Lulu

Welcome Mary and Lulu. Wow, 13 years old! Besides Sidney we also have a corgi mix who is 15; he's a little slow to get moving in the mornings but once he gets revved up he's quite energetic.
