What a cute duo! I have an English Springer Spaniel, and had NO idea what I was getting into with a corgi. You are very smart to join this group. Do start learning dog training, I had to undo all the mistakes I made with Snickers- I bought books on how to train rescue dogs-so I could rescue her from myself. LOL! The most important thing I learned was that they have to earn everything. Sit to get a pet, do a few tricks to get a meal, no pets or snuggles or anything when they ask, it has to be when you want otherwise they feel like they call the shots and they are boss. Being boss of people actually makes them unhappy, they need you to be the leader. We had a rat terror (terrier) and I always said she was untrainable. I wish I had the chance to try again now that I have learned more about training high energy dogs. There are many great groups you might be interested in joining. I like the Corgi Mix group, I have a corgi, and a corgi/ peke, too. click our picture and check us out. I would love to see more of Tia and Dana's pictures!
Welcome Michelle, Tia and Dana!
