About Me:
I'm the proud mommy of a 4 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Pascal or Honeybear as he is affectionately called. One day I would love to get Pascal into Fly Ball or something to have some fun with him. For now we settle for each others company on hikes in the summertime and walks through the snow during winter. Right now I'm trying to get him better so he doesn't have to go to the vet office once a month for a UA.
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
Pascal is my first corgi and I love him very much. He's my little shadow, my protector and my fur baby rolled into one. He loves snuggling with me and watching movies, loves cats, chasing bunnies, and bounding through the snow. He's 4 years old and I brought him home when he was 8 weeks old, he was such a wiggly little puppy back then. Now I look at him and see a wonderful best friend and dog.

Just this past summer (July '08) my corgi was diagnosed with a UTI and shortly there after his vet found struvite crystals. He's been into the vet pretty much very month since then for UA's and been on three different foods since then. First Hill's c/d, then s/o, and now the s/d (which he hates with a passion.) Nothing has been helping to dissolve the crystals and I am now trying to do my own research into other possible treatments before surgery is a must. So wish him luck. I honestly hope my sweet baby boy gets better and doesn't have to eat such icky food.

Good News!

Pascal had a vet appointment yesterday to see if the S/D food was working for dissolving crystals. Well it worked and he's crystal free for the time being, so our vet gave us the go ahead to schedule a surgery date to be neutered. He'll be going in later tonight and staying at the clinic and then have surgery in the morning. :)

I'm just glad he's finally been well enough to finally get this done now. He'll be happier in the end. I'm feeling kind of anxious about him thinking I'm… Continue

Pascal and I would like to wish everyone a very happy and lovely Valentine's Day. :) Also have a wonderful weekend and hope everyone is well. :)

Fly Ball

Posted on February 6, 2009 at 9:00pm 3 Comments

I found something on the internet about Fly Ball and thought what a neat idea to get Pascal into so he stays fit and healthy. He already knows to how to fetch and he'll drop the balls for me but he won't for my room mate or my boyfriend sometimes. So we're working on that. But hopefully things will go well with that. He loves jumping and tennis balls so it's perfect. Hopefully I can either find a Fly Ball team or start one. So that's something to look into. :)

Hi Rachel and Pascal! Sidney also loves to go on hikes, and he loves his cat brothers. We are hoping to get Sidney into agility training, so that is something else Pascal might like. I hope Pascal gets over his UTI soon (one of Sid's cat brothers has problems with them too). I know how icky that special food can be!

Yeah, there isn't much around here either. My dogs would love agility and flyball, but we don't have groups like that around here.

Join the IA/MN Picnic group. We have an annual meetup in June. It's a lot of fun.

Welcome. It really does seem that sensitive digestion is a corgi-wide issue. And our furballs all seem ready to eat anything, wether it agrees with them or not.

Good luck and I hope you find something that works.
