"If you decide to go with a cone I suggest going with a soft e-collar.  The hard cone was such a pain, if my little guy dropped his head at all it caught on the ground and bring him up short.  Not to mention constantly running in to things…"

"If you need a cone I highly recommend the Comfy Cone. It is much more comfortable than a regular one and the blow up kind really doesn't keep them from reaching certain areas. If she is licking the stitches at all, you should get one. That can…"

"Maddie did not have a cone when she was spayed and did not bother her stitches at all.  It is not easy for a dog to reach spay stitches and many don't seem to bother it.  Our vet said that a lot of dogs are more distressed by the cone…"

spay question...to cone or not to cone

Our female corgi puppy got spayed this morning (poor girl) and when my husband picked her up he was surprised she wasnt in cone. Her name is Charlie and she is currently 8 months old. She can be very stubborn at times and loves to keep up on our toes. She LOVES playing with her ball and has taken to learning commands very well. She also torments her two feline brothers and tries to get them in a game of chase.
