- Michael - My love for Corgis started years ago with the anime "Cowboy Bebop" which featured a Pembroke named Ein. When I moved to Wichita, my roommates and I rescued our first corgi puppy, Dexter. When they stopped taking care of him, and because of my busy work schedule, I unfortunately had to give him up. But my at-the-time girlfriend and now wife found a wonderful home for him that had multiple other Corgis to keep him company. About a year later, Chelsea and I bought Trixie, a tri-color, and Maggie, red and white, sisters from the same litter. But we lost Maggie in November of '09 when she escaped from the yard and was run over :*( We weren't sure if we would get another puppy or not, but after seeing how sad and lonely Trixie now was, we just had to get her a new friend. So we were able to track down Trixie and Maggie's breeders and they had a 2-month old red and white Corgi available. We brought her home and named her Gidget.
