We have a new baby at our house. Today was his first official day with us, and he did very well. He is a rescue and a very good boy.

Many thanks go to Jane Christensen, who rescued and fostered this special corgi, and who allowed us to be the lucky people who got to take him home. Her love for corgis is truly something special.

Well, after a long drive, Rainy is finally in her new home! She is doing pretty good, and has been sleeping all morning on the couch. She's met the cat, pooped in the yard, and had love and attention all morning and afternoon. It was a long drive and she kicked me out of my seat in the car for the whole 17 hours, but I'd do it all over again and again if I could! When the weather clears up, I'll have some pictures, but right now, I'll let her snooze!

I am very scared for Algy. This summer he had a tumor on his spleen that ruptured and caused major and massive interal bleeding. He had emergency surgery to have his spleen removed and when the tissue was out they found that he had low grade lymphoma. The vet was sure that they got all of the infected tissue and that his recovery would be fine. Well, he is still doing well and his bloodwork is OK, although he is showing some signs of mild anemia.
