(BlueBuffalo+ChickenBroth)=("Nom Nom Nom!")

While I cant tell you for sure if it's the food, the broth, or the de-tapeworming. What I can tell you is that right now in Cheez-burger land, Chicken-broth infused Blue Buffalo is a hot commodity. Which is a very big relief on my part, and it's great to see him eat a little more now. He was de-tapewormed on Saturday and I mixed him BlueBuff and his usual Eukenuba (1:3 ratio) for lunch and he ate the Blue Buffalo leaving all the Eukenuba in the bown still. For dinner I gave him the same rations and added 2 teaspoons of warm Chicken Broth and he went NUTS over it, but left the Eukenuba in the bowl again. Even Chicken-Broth soaked Eukenuba, he will not eat. We started Sunday with 100% Blue Buffalo and 2tsp Broth which he ate 3/4 and I hand fed him the rest. He seems to get bored with eating, and only really gets into it if I'm sitting right there with him. So currently he is eating 1/2 cup B.B. w/ ChknBroth twice a day. It's still a chore to get him to down it all, but it's much better than he was doing. I tried slipping a third meal in there and he didnt really care for it. It does smell pretty good, mabye I'll try a piece if I get the nerve and the ingredients sound pretty tasty.

He is definately a little more lively eating well (1 cup a day + treats). He met 3 dogs and 2 people today, he doesnt care for the people and chose to sniff around with the dogs. It was Shiba the Akita and Chile the Chi-Doxie and their master and later he met SomeDog(I forget his name) the JRT mix and they actually played a little bit. That mainly involved Cheez-it rolling on his back as even the JRT towered over him.

He started nipping at the carpet where a week ago I sprayed some Grannick's Bitter Apple. I re-applied the Bitters and he stopped again. I imagine that stuff has about a week lifespan before the nasty-to-dogs taste fades away. I'll remember to do that every saturday until he stops even sniffing the spots.

He has started expressing himself via barking. This usually occurs during night hours when he gets his last meal. He cant seem to wait for me to put the bowl down. He also yaps a few times while were playing if I stop, which gets ignored, and the occasional yap from his kennel when he can see me doing something while he is locked up and wondering why I would be so cruel. I just hope his bark gets deeper, so mabye it wont be so startling-ly annoying.

The last thing to note.
I didnt really think about until today, when I got him he was supposed to be red/white and the black would fade. By comparison his black-snout (at 10 weeks) is exactly the same as it was (at 8 weeks). He's got a few little white hairs poking out from under there and while I originally wanted him to lose the black, I sort of hope it stays because I havent seen another Corgi like him. It distinguishes him from the other dogs I feel. I'll compare in another two weeks. I do have a question about his development. When will he start growing normal hair? He is still coated in puppy-down but I have noticed alot of hair coming off on my shirts ect.. I have been using a light Horse-brush to sort of "sweep" him lol. Im curious when I can try Furminating him and when he will start growing a top-coat.

Thanks alot Joshua and Bexar(Cheez-it's brother) for the Blue Buffalo referance. He loves it and I am more than happy to see him eating like he should.

I start back working in the middle of this week, I think he can handle 2 periods of 4 hours alone during the day. I'm just hoping he still goes to sleep at night and doesnt sleep all day.

Great news on the food! Brodie is slick and shiney all over now, but has not developed any real undercoat yet. Brodie is 4.5 months. I use the furminator on him,it doesn't do too much, but he enjoys the attention. He hasn't started any real shedding yet...I know it will be here soon enough! The other two are in full spring blow out! The furminator makes a huge difference! I think Cheez-it's black nose is so distinctive...it really makes him stand out.

Yeah on the Blue Buffalo! Glad to hear that Cheez-it likes it. : )

I noticed Charlie's adult coat coming in when he was about 14 weeks. Seemed like "overnight" he went from solid puppy fuzz to about a 2-3" strip of shinier, thicker, slightly coarser adult fur down his back. You'll probably see it between 12-15 weeks. The adult fur "strip" will give you a good idea of Cheez-it's "final" coloring.

trying putting kibble in teh stuffin ball and see if hell eat while he rolls it around - it may be that he likes to "work" for his food? I found that Bailey will sometimes prefer it in there rather than in a bowl..

great to hear hes eating more.

Bailey started with a rough patch of "big boy" fur at about emmm....... 12 weeks of age. haha its getting progressively wider and going down teh sides of his body - but still amazingly softer than what i expected, but its defintely not the super soft puppy fur anymore. His head, however (and butt and legs) are still 100% puppy fur. enjoy the puppy fur while you can.. I've been collecting all his fur ive combed off in a ziploc bag. weve stuffed upa regular sandwich bag so far.. and its nice to notice the color difference. When he first started shedding, gray fur was coming out, now its tan.

ok gtg. good luck with everything! oh yea one question, whatkind of chicken broth do u use?

Mocha and Vienna are also BlueBuffalo fans :) It might be the best time to "teach" Cheezit a few tricks before the last meal, he'll be very motivated and will associate you as the pack leader, keep up the good work!
